It is thermal paste. You can either use that, or arctic silver, but not both. If you know it's sticky, that probably means you touched it, which isn't too good. Oils from your fingers = bad. If you have some arctic silver on you, and you have already touched that paste, you should probably go ahead and clean it off with isopropyl alcohol and use the arctic silver.

smokin

There was a plastic cover covering it so i placed that on it and it sort of stuck a little. I didnt touch it i knew the oil off my hands would damage it.

In my opinion, your cable organization looks fine. I recommend tucking the loose cables away to one of the open 5.5" bays to prevent constricting continuous airflow through the case.

Its done. Ive installed windows 7 beta and its uper fast. Only concern is it seems to be getting warm. Any idea's how to improve my air flow. Ive got a 60mm antec at the front of the case. A 120mm HIPER on the side for air in. And a 120mm HIPER as a rear outlet fan. GPU CPU and PSU seem to be getting warm.

Those fans should provide sufficient air flow for the machine. What about the CPU/GPU warmness concerns you? Have you been experiencing instability on the computer?

Is your computer inside a cabinet by any chance? You need to give the case room to breath and not confine it. When you say warm do you know how warm? Computers naturaly run warm.

Like Khalil said, everything is going to be warm. And yeah, when I'm playing, the extra-slot cooler on my video card is hot to the touch. Just how it is.

Download some temperature management software, warm isn't really specific enough.

Speedfan doesn't monitor GPU temps. You probably have a monitoring utility on the video card driver CD.
Temp 3 is probably not measuring anything so the 80 degrees is a false reading.

Use the BIOS temperature readings instead of a third-party software readings. If your CPU temperature is around 30°C, don't worry about it. The CPU temperature is monitored by a built-in safeguard, so that in case it goes beyond normal operating temperature, it will shut down to prevent thermal damage, or throttle down its operating frequency.

60°C is a fairly normal operating temperature for the graphics card GPU. You don't have to dwell too much over temperature - again, there are safeguards built in that are meant to prevent permanent damage. As long as you have adequate air flow through the case and that the system is operating under enough power, you should be all set.

Well made some more progress but the CPU temp has gone up a fair bit from running at idle at about 40 to 52 degree's and pushing 60 under a reasonable load. My pc is currently like a radiator. The graphics card is warm. thats fine. But the RAM and not boilling hot but warm. this means all the hot air from the rest of the pc is going up into the PSU making this HOT. Its only a cheap PSU so im thinking of upgrading to a corsair 650???

List of cooling

Rear exsaust fan is a HIPER 120mm 59CFM

Side inlet fan is the same.

STD cooler on my 4850. BUT ive got a akasa vortexx neo which is going to be put in soon.

Front inlet fan is a antec 80mm http://www.ebuyer.com/product/56770

STD AMD cooler on my 9950 black edition. BUT thinking of upgrading to an aftermarket cooler.

This is proberly enough im just conserned with my CPU running at 50 degree's at pretty much idle. I also intend to remove my cooler clean my cpu and the cooler with some TIM cleaner and use some new thermal compound and reseat the cooler.

Here are some pics....

http://yfrog.com/09dscf2801bbdj

http://yfrog.com/eedscf2805j

Im after a power supply with long wires to as these ones are far to short.

I have several 9950s running on my folding machines all with stock fans/heatsinks, folding puts them at heavy load and none are running over 55, they run at around 32 idle. Something is going on with your rig that is causing the temps to go up so high. Acrylic does not help matters either, is that side fan blowing in or out?

Side fan is in. I think it might be the thermal compound. If you look at the cpu in this pic can you see what on it! dirty finger prints. So ill take it out tommorow and clean it off and put new thermal paste on. Im think about the corsair HX650 as a power supply as it is currently on offer at ebuyer

Yeah, you can't have human oils on the CPU that is bad. You need to clean with Acetone if you can get your hands on some. You also need to clean the Heatsink surface and reapply thermal paste about the size of a grain of rice.
Is there a rare chassis fan on this case pulling the hot air out?

Try turning the side fan out. In my experience you want more exhaust fans than intakes, and side fans seem to work better as intakes (especially if they are near the CPU). You dont really have a head problem - the temps seem ok. If you are really concerned about the CPU temp, pick up a high-end CPU cooler (like an arctic cooling heatsink fan - I have one on my AMD machine and it works great). Nice looking build.

thats what I am thinking as well. Get some of the heat out of the case.
