Is your SATA controller in the IDE, AHCI, or RAID mode? Are you using only the Intel ICH connectors, and do you have the Marvell controller disabled? What OS?

That is a load of garbage. 800 or 667 will work just fine. Something is seriously wrong and you need professional help at this stage before you get it all messed up. I am sure there must be someone in Egypt who repairs computers.
can these guys help you maybe?http://board.classifieds1000.com/Egy...All_Cairo_Giza
On a forum we can only do so much to help you.

yes but they said they sticked a 2 g 667 ram stick in and the system worked perfectly

maybe the 800 corsair ram is faulty ? or it needs to be set the voltage manually from the mo?

khalil the system liked the 2 gb 667 kingston ram stick we installed windows 7 ultimate the system is normal no blue screens no crashes i played XIII Century: Death or Glory for 2 hours on max settings
with no issues .. it must be the corsair ram ..
all we need now is to decide what ram we need here .. the guys are kinda worried to set
ram voltages manually from the mb saying why dont we just use this ram as it works
is it really much slower than my other corsair ram ? i mean if i put another 2 gb stick
in there of same kind would i be ok ? the ram sticks dosnt have a heat sink like
my corsair is that an issue ? what do u advise ? is there a safe way to make the corsair ram work?

Only if you have another system that accepts DDR2 800 Ram where you can test it, we have test tools for memory but I doubt you have that. I don't know what to tell you. It is very possibly the memory is faulty.

guys what do we do now please :

1_ try to set the voltage manuly from the mother board ? is that dangerous to the pc ?

2_ give it up and use the current kigston rams ? like the 667 ones ? will that bottle neck
my pc ? will it have strong effect of the performance if i put 4 g of that ram ?

If the Kingston works and corsair don't then you need to use the Kingston and send the Corsair back. That is the only thing I can recommend. Messing with voltages when you don't know what you are doing could be bad.

ok i cant send them back to uk now but the local store is offering me to take the corsair
and give me 2 sticks of kingston 2 gb each at 667 they just look normal without
heat sinks or anything ..

will they effect my pc performance in games ? or bottle neck my pc ?
should i just go for them and live on or try to get something with 800 that works ?
thats the only issue i am trying to solve now . thanks

667 will not effect anything, you won't be able to tell the difference, go for it and enjoy your machine!!

No. The heatsink is helpful if you're going to overclock and overvolt the ram, which you aren't.

You do not need or want it enabled if you aren't using it.

Advanced, onboard devices. Disable the Marvell IDE if you don't have any IDE devices.

I stand corrected - the additional SATA ports are controlled by a Sil controller, not the Marvell. To turn that off:

Tools, disable Drive Xpert Control.

No, those you need. Use ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS to uninstall the Marvell IDE and Sil Drive Xpert drivers, IF they appear in there.
