Moderate PC Build for a Parent

I'm building this pc for my mother and i would like some input/feedback to make sure i have everything right. THANKS!

Barebones Kit

Monitor

Video Card (Don't Know if it is necessary)

56K Modem

Optical Drive

Case Fan X2

CPU Fan

That's all I have right now. Any suggestions or if anything is missing just let me know. Thanks again!

Other than the processor and LG DVD burner everything in that list is junk, sorry. The 667 memory is not suitable with that processor, shows you that tigredirect is just throwing together a bunch of parts they need to get rid of.
Tigerdirect is not reliable or trust worthy, these parts could easily be used or customer returns. Look at newegg.com Shop for an Asus motherboard. Combo deals from Tigerdirect are a disaster waiting to happen. I realize you are trying to save money but we are not going to advise you to buy junk on this forum.

Haha Alright thanks a bundle! You've probably just saved me hours upon hours of frustration... I'll go back to newegg then, i've trusted them for years, just went here because it was cheaper but it's obvious now why! thanks again!

Extra Case Fan

56K Modem

I wasn't sure if i need to get a cpu fan with that cpu? Thanks for redirecting me to newegg i hope this build is much better than my earlier one

For $24 that power supply is a great deal, they are not the best but for this type of rig it will do great. The rest of the hardware looks good.

Just curious but why a 56k modem? Does she live in an area that broadband is not available or she just don't want it? On a side note, Tigerdirect is complete trash. I have had dealings with them and I won't even go to there site. The customer service is worthless as well.

I actually plan on building my mom a computer to. Something pretty cheap. She don't do much with it.
