http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16813131296 You want to stick to Intel chipsets with Intel Processors.
You don't need an E8400, a good dual core like the E7500 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16819115056 is all you need. That 9800GT video card is worthless, it was no good when it first came out. Here is the best card on the market dollar for dollar, you need to put more money into the video card than the processor http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16814121311 You will need a better power supply this one here is an excellent deal with free shipping http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16817139005

You don't need thermal paste, the heat sink will have a thermal pad on it.
the case will come with all the screws, make sure and read the instructions, thermaltake can be tricky. everything should fit. Yes it is all compatible. No this Rig cannot run Crysis at max. You will need $3500 plus to get Crysis to run at max. |

you can OC most processors but why would you want to OC? The core 2 duo processors are very powerful stock, unless you got money to burn avoid over clocking!
But answer your 2nd question, I have read of guys over clocking the E7500 to 3.5Ghz on Air and 4.3Ghz with water cooling. Remember over clocking will shorten the life of your CPU, both AMD and Intel now have the technology to know if the CPU have failed due to over clocking so you are risking loss of warranty! |
