You don't need the extra CPU cooler, the CPU comes with one that will do the job.
You will need a DVD drive and an OS.

Overclocking (if Im correct) is running parts higher than their listed values. For example you might go into your systems BIOS and overclock you CPU to 3.4+ GHz. I wouldn't really recommend overclocking though, as the CPU should be plenty fine as is and overclocking will only put it at risk.

alright my computer parts came in the other day, but i changed a few things here and there

here is my setup:
antec 1200 case
intel i7 920 3.8ghz O.C. (with a friends help and an aftermarket cooler)
asus p6t deluxe x58 mobo
sapphire radeon hd 4870x2
corsair ddr3 1600 12GB ram
corsair 1000w psu
western digital caviar black 1TB hdd
sony optiarc SATA dvd burner

i also purchased an acer x223 "22 lcd monitor, a logitech g15 keyboard and i am using the free mouse that came with the case. i absolutely love my new computer, windows xp boots in a matter of seconds and i can run all my games on max settings with no lag at all. browsing through these forums helped me a lot in choosing my parts and i wanted to thank you guys for helping me out thank you
