Gaming build =]

Good afternoon,

Im interested in building my second computer. Previously received help from these forums, which was a great help.

Budgeted around $1500 bucks.

Have a few parts that I will reuse. IE: cd burner, 750 psu, dvd burner, monitor etc.

I am more interested in the meat and potatoes.
Since this will be a gaming comp in addition to a few apps like, word processors and excel, I've was told I should really stick with a dual Core processor.
Too much muscle would be unused and wasted with a quad core.

Im always a little shaky when ordering parts. Not 100% sure on compatability. A few suggestions in these areas would be great.

-Motherboard - Unsure
-Processor - Heard good review on the Phenom II's
-Graphics card- Unsure but understand importance with games
-Ram- Unsure
-Hard drive-Unsure
Sound card - Onboard sound, if not, then something decent.
Ohh and I'm leaning more towards AMD. Already built intel comp and would like to try AMD. Unless performance becomes a huge factor.
Thanks for you help!
