Help, PSU Problems
Recently I have had two power supplies fail on me within two weeks when my desktop PC went into sleep mode. Replacing the power supply fixed the problem. Is this just a coincidence or could something else be causing the power supplies to fail?
The first PSU was (about 2 years of constant use) 600 watt OCZ StealthXstream. http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0260161 Second PSU was (about 3 years of constant use seasonic 430 Watt SS-430hb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151044 I can give more details but I wanted to be brief. Also, can someone recommend a high quality PSU that will be able to handle a Q6600, 4 HDD, DVD, TV Tuner. Considering upgrading video card to 4890 or GTX 295 when the GTX 295 comes down in price. If you can find something at microcenter that would be better because I could get it today. Thanks. Last edited by J-Rob; 08-05-2009 at 08:48 AM. |
