Need some help

Ok so i dont know much about computers and am still learning.

i dont understand something about processors,What is meant by Quad-Core or Core 2 Duo
Or Triple Core Processor

And I saw cheap processor Like 3.1ghz and thought it was really good because of the Ghz

Before all of the multi core a processor had one core per chip which was the main circuitry that did all of the calculations. The multi core cpu's put more than one core on the same chip essentially giving you more than one cpu on the same physical chip.

The speed of the chip in only relative to the family of chips. I wouldn't' advise buying anything solely on speed in Ghz.
