New home file server

Hi all. I'm tossing around the idea of building a new file server for at home use. The only use it will get will be random files as well as a repository for all of my ripped DVDs. There is really no budget, but I'm trying to keep the costs as low as possible. Most likely tossing Ubuntu or Mint on it.

Case: Rosewill R5730-P BK
Mobo: ASUS P5KPL-CM
CPU: E1500
PSU: PC Power & Cooling Silencer PPCS370X 370W
RAM: Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533
HDD: 2xSamsung Eco Green 1TB

No part is anything I'm set on. If you have a vastly different build suggestion, feel free to throw it my way. Please keep in mind, however, that a build costing over $500 is not acceptable as this is ONLY for storage.

Thanks!

Food for thought: Get a refurb Dell with Win XP for $75 and buy extra hard drives...

I would avoid Samsung hard drives, they have a very high rate of failure, WD is what is highly recommended around here. Everything else you picked is quality, you will be surprised how well that E1500 will perform

I was a bit worried about the samsungs. Truthfully, the only reason I picked them was because they're cheap and I could EBAY the docking bays. Yeah, I'll probably order the 1TB greens.
