Random Reboot

Hi all, I just recently got done building this computer as a family internet surfing machine and things have been going great. My problem is that here recently, the computer will just randomly reboot. It does this about every ten minutes. Im running windows vista, an ASUS P5E-VM HDMI LGA 775 Intel G35 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard, hec HEC400ADBTF 400W ATX12V Ver1.3 Power Supply, CORSAIR XMS2 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model CM2X1024-6400, Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 Wolfdale 2.66GHz LGA 775 Dual-Core Processor Model BX80571E7300.

I dont know if this would be a power supply issue or what the deal is so any help would be great.

Check to make sure the heatsink is properly installed and that all 4 pins are completely pushed in.

Then check the computer in safe mode to see if it's restarting.

Does it give you a blue screen when it restarts?

Would say that the issue is with that PSU. According to the specs, the rated 400w is way overinflated. At best it is equal to 300w PSU.

HEC used to make good PSU's - but not these days. They are all overrated.

You need to disable restart on error and see what the bluescreen says.

1gb ram is WAY too little for a Vista machine with onboard video.
