In the works.
Hi Everybody!
I'm sorta new to the PC building game. Am interested in something with decent power. I have a setup, not sure if it works, or if I'm missing anything. Any help would be much appreciated. Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131392 CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103674 Video card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130433 Memory http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146871 Hard Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152096 Case/Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129063 O/S http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832116473 CD/DVD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106280 Any concerns or comments, please let me know. |

Samsung hard drives are no good. We are currently recommending WD black as the best choice. I would look at Corsair Memory. If you can justify spending a little extra, go with the GTX275 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814143183 BFG has a lifetime warranty with excellent customer support. Any reason why you want Vista Ultimate? If this machine is mainly for gaming I would go with Vista home premium and put the money into the better video card istead.

Thanks for the advice. Got 2 new replacement items.
Graphics card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150387 Went with an XFX card. Hard Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136320 And why do you recommend the corsair over the mushkin memory? Also was wondering if anyone sees compatibility issues at all with this setup. P.S. Going with Vista Ultimate, because this will be my main PC. I might need the extra features at some point. And the money isn't an issue. (willing to pay, but trying not to overdo it lol) |

I hope you did not buy the XFX. That is about the worst brand video card on the market.
Asus, BFG or Evga is your best bet for Nvidia. I recommended Corsair because it is probably the best memory on the market, I have issues in the past with Mushkin, this is why I do not recommend them. Hope this helps you! |

Mushkin is a good memory manufacturer; I have personally used over 30 sticks of ram without any problems and have recommended them to many of my friends who have built computers with mushkin ram and have had no problems.
