New build help
Built my comp and it starts up and everything.But after a minute or two it shuts off. Bios boots up it shows my hd and optical but there is a screen that says no drives detected.everything seems plugged in and it will boot up microsoft cd but like i said after a minute or two it just shuts off.any ideas?

Try this first. Having problems with a new build? Try this. Make sur the heatsink/fan is securely attached to the cpu, sounds like it is not on right and the computer is shutting down to avoid damage to the cpu..

I want to thank you for your quick response. It has been up for about 10 minutes now and hasn't shut off.....I think the problem was wires and maybe it shorted something to keep shutting it off
