Motherboard / PSU question
I have a 790GX-G65 motherboard and a Corsair 750 Watt TX PSU. On my motherboard manual, it says to attach the ATX 24 Pin Connector AND an ATX 4-pin Power Connector to power the CPU. The problem is, my PSU doesn't HAVE a 4-pin Power Connector. What am I supposed to do about this??? I am afraid of trying to boot up my computer without everything in place. My CPU has a bunch of 6-pin things that is labeled PCI, but definitely no 4 pin. Thanks for your help,
Dan |

There is probably one that is 8pins that will come apart into two 4pins.

If not what Alaron says, you will need a four pin flat Molex connector to a square 4 pin connector. The motherboard is needing more 12VDC current than what the 24 pin connector can provide.
It looks like this: http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Perip...roductId=23604 An 8 pin connector is for powering very high end graphics cards. The 6 + 2 pin connector is for powering mid to high end graphics cards.

Connectors
1 x Main connector (20+4Pin) 1 x 12V(4/8Pin) 8 x peripheral 8 x SATA 2 x Floppy 4 x PCI-E That is a 8 pin connector that splits apart into two 4 pin connectors. |
