I rate this system for gaming 3 out of 10
1.Bad motherboard choice. 2.Video Card is weak, over heats & problomatic, if he wants to play old games it will do fine but any newer games will need a better card, in my opinion anything under a GTX275 in Nvidia is worthless for hardcore gaming, You would be much better advising him to get an ATI 4850 1GB for a few more bucks. $800 can get you much better hardware. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Tpk=ati%204850 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103694 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131406 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148262 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136283 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371007 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119195 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106280 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236051 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823109156 $789 plus shipping

Hey Khalil,
how does that cpu compare to the intel e8400? I have been hearing good things about that chip and the price is nice as well. |

I have a lot of regard for the E8xxx Core 2 Duo processors, they are the kings of the Dual core currently however for $89 3.0 GHz and 6MB L3 Cache, those AMD Callisto are a great value.
