The PWR LED lead from the case has a 3 slot female connector and a two slot female connector.
I need to use the three slot connector. It has a white wire (on the left) and a blue wire (on the right). The black PWR LED connector (from the case) has an arrow pointing to the blue wire. On my GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard the PWR LED pins are 1, 2 and 3. Pin 1 is MPD+, Pin 2 is MPD- and Pin 3 is MPD-. Question: How should I connect the case PWR LED to the motherboard 3 pins? Please help. |

Open your motherboard's manual to the page where it shows the System Panel Connector.
There will be a diagram that shows you what goes where and+/- is noted on it.

I am trying to connect to the: power led e, reset sw, power sw and hdd led from my Thermaltake Element S (VK6000 series) case to my Gigabyte GA-EP45-UP3P motherboard. For all of the case leads listed above the arrow on the small black block is always on a colored wire. The other wire is white. My MB manual defines + and – pin locations. Question: Is the white wire on the small black block + or -? Does the arrow indicate + or -? Please help. This is very confusing as it is not well defined in the manuals.

Don't worry about it. If you hook it up backwards, it simply won't work right, reverse it. You won't hurt anything.
If the power LED is backwards, it won't work at all. If the HDD LED is backwards, the LED will be on constantly. Polarity doesn't matter with the power and reset switches. |

Ditto for what glc says but, actually, they are clear.
That "+" is the end connection, as it is on my board, then you know where pin 1 goes. |
