Business Desktop
I am bidding on building 6 desktops for a business of a relative, Storage is held on a server and backep up daily. The OS is a multi - licensed XP Pro Please see if I am missing anything here or maybe could trim the cost a little. The equipment being replaced is very old so I am not going to try and salvage anything. They are strictly for purchasing, billing and office use. I am not to sure about the power supply but it appears to be a very good one.
I am not opposed to going AMD $411.00 with shipping desktop case Foxconn http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811153068 Motherboard Asus P5KPL-CM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131288 Hard Drive Seagate 7200.10 80GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148231 Memory 2 Gig Crucial 800 2x1 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148163 CPU Celeron E1500 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116075 Drive LG http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136167 Monitor Hahns G 17" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824254032 Keyboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823126017 |

I like those Celeron E1500 amazing performance for $45, I like your choice of hardware. The ISO power supply in that case is ok. I prefer Sea Sonic but that is going to raise the price.

Looks good, an AMD built would be better only if graphics performance is somewhat important, I've used the E1200 in a few builds and it worked pretty well, so the E1500 should be even better.

Looks good. you are definitely being very thrifty on the package. 2 points I would make.
1) the slim case. I have no problem with the mATX that is fine. But if you ever have to add any cards in the box, the slim profile, half-height slots will be a pain. Might want to look at a case that gives full-size expansion cards. There are some nice mini-towers, including one by your same vendor, Foxconn. 2) An AMD alternative. Build using Athlon II CPU and a low-priced AMD 780 or 740 board, such as ASRock A780LM AM2+/AM2 AMD RS780L (760G) Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - $55. You get better integrated graphics - quite a bit better. But it raises your cost a bit, like 10 to 20 depending on your choices. |
