Gaming Pc, some questions

I'm going to build a new gaming pc for a mate, i made a selection of what i think is the best available in our local shops. But i have a few last choices that 'im not sure what to do with

CASE+PSU
Antec Nine Hundred II Ultimate Gaming Case - BLACK (Excl. PSU) € 112
Corsair TX650W 650W PSU ATX € 104.00
Corsair TX750W 750W PSU ATX € 129.00

Is 650W enough for a gaming system? The client might want to add more to it later (ie double vicard, more hd,etc etc)

MOBO/CPU

ASUS P5Q3 Deluxe/WiFi-AP @n S775 Intel P45 CrossFire PCIe DDR3 ATX € 179 loveno
Intel Quad Core Q9550 - 2.83Ghz - S775 - FSB1333 - 12MB - BOXED € 210

ASUS Rampage Formula S775 Intel X48 CrossFire PCIe DDR2 ATX € 199 loveno
Intel Quad Core Q9550 - 2.83Ghz - S775 - FSB1333 - 12MB - BOXED € 210

is there any reason to take the x48, or is the p45 still good enough for the next year(s) ?

GPU

ASUS nVidia GeForce ENGTX285 PCIe 1GB HDTV Dual DVI € 299.00
MSI nVidia GeForce N285GTX SuperPipe OC PCIe 1GB HDTV Dual DVI € 349.00

since its meant for gaming i guess better take the more expensive one? I'd rather have him happy with the system as long as possible

RAM
Corsair XMS3 DHX Twinx 4GB DDR3 PC12800 CL9 € 99.00

should i go for 6GB ram?

HD
Western Digital 1TB - SATA - 7200rpm - 32mb € 79
DVDRW
NEC AD-7200A DVD±RW 20x Multi IDE bulk black € 32.00

all advice is very welcome. the total cost is about 1200 euros atm (pretty much the max he wanted to spend)

That Corsair 650W will be good. Go with the ASUS gfx card. Also go with the X48 especially if its only 20 more than the P45.

I'd stick with a P45, and get a DDR2 version, not a DDR3. Something like a P5Q Pro would be suitable. Note that you can't SLI with any Intel chipsets for socket 775, they only support Crossfire.

thank you for the help, and the tip about the crossfire/sli thing, i forgot about that

i just got mail back from the shop, they "advise" me to take this mobo/cpu

- Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz LGA1156 8Mb Boxed aan 199 EUR
- Intel Desktop Board DP55WG LGA1156 Intel P55 SLi CFX PCIe DDR3 ATX aan 129 EUR

should i follow their advise or better look elsewhere for a P5Q and the CPU in my first post ?

the DDR3 was asked by the 'client', although i'm not sure he understands that its not really worth its money.

I don't have any reports on the Intel board, but the Asus P7P55D appears to be stable.
