When you boot with the Vista DVD, it will have you make a partition. There is no prep that needs to be done.

I boot it then I follow onscreen instructions, enter the code and agree to software license ect. Then it reaches a point and says choose driver. In that list there is no driver. So I select add driver, but then it prompts me to enter a cd with the software for my hard drive... How do I make it?

Set the SATA controller mode to IDE emulation in the bios and Vista will see the hard drive.
Admin note - please use the EDIT button if you need to add to a post before there are any responses. Thank you. |
