New build, no video.. no advice has worked so far!

Hey everyone, I'm hoping to get some help with my new build. When I power it up, the fans spin, hard drive spins, but I can't get anything to show up on the monitor, not POST, not BIOS, nothing..

Here's my specs:

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H

Processor - AMD Phenom 2

Hard drive - Hitachi RTB Deskstar 1TB 7200 RPM 16MB

Ram - Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)

Power supply - LOGISYS 550W

The video is integrated, and the monitor works, but it will not come out of standby mode. I have done absolutely everything in the 'PROBLEMS with a NEW BUILD? Try This!!' thread, and nothing has worked.

I took my motherboard and processor to the store yesterday, they were tested and worked fine, and then they told me I had incompatible ram, so I got new ram (the ram listed above) and tried it all again and nothing. I have tried using each stick of ram just incase one is defective..

I tried powering up with no hard drive connected, still nothing on screen

Tried powering up with no RAM, still nothing on screen..

I have double and triple and quadruple checked that all cords are plugged in correctly.

Anyone have any advice? I feel like I've troubleshooted my butt off, and nothing has worked yet.

Have you tried a different video cable?

Welcome to PCMech.

Try a different power supply. Logisys are terrible quality. I'd recommend upgrading to a better brand like Corsair or Seasonic.

Sounds like a good suggestion, thanks! I had my sister pick up a new one today, as it is her computer, and will try it out after work.

We got a corsair, and I'm happy to say that it worked! The computer is running and perfect now. Thanks so much for the awesome advice!

Excellent choice. Except for very low budget builds, Corsair is all I use these days.
