First time builder/build problem.

Hey guys. When I tried to build my own pc, it did not go according to plan. (bought everything off Newegg)

When I try to turn it on, it simply does not react. So, I'm thinking what I should do first to look for a problem. Here are my specifications.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Once again, the pc simply doesn't turn on. Maybe there's a problem with a power supply? Please give me your suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it.

PROBLEMS with a NEW BUILD? Try This!!

With that said, there is a 8 pin connector next to the CPU socket that needs to be connected to the power supply, and your power supply only has a 4 pin connector. For that reason, and also because HEC power supplies are poor quality, I'd recommend you get a different power supply. You need one that meets EPS specs to get that 8 pin connector. You are using high quality components everywhere else, so you should NOT cheap out on a power supply.

glc, thank you. I'll try putting that power supply into my old machine just to see if it works.
