gaming rig first time build
hello,
after browsing around in the forums for a while i have decided to build my own gaming rig i currently use a hp laptop wich is ok but graphics really lack. i need something that can play aion, left4dead and other games very well my budget is from 500-625 dollars with shipping, i would like something that will easily be upgraded for the future. i will aslo use this for music and youtube stuff. i have a desktop with some stuff in it imight beable to re use to. it has a 500gb hardrive that i was thinking about saving. but i know the mobo/procesor are junk. but i would like a monitor but i have one at the moment but if i can get one and not sacrafice pc power that would be great. and i will be upgrading to windows seven so im gonna need a temp OS if someone can get me started with some parts that would be great thanks |

Your list looks pretty good. Are you looking at Newegg for prices? It's popular around here for prices, customer service. And fast delivery.
Might want to think about a newer chipset on the motherboard. If you want to stick with micro-ATX, here are examples for the AMD780 and AMD785. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128394 GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H for the AMD785 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131330 ASUS M3A78-CM for the AMD780 I prefer the AMD785 because it gets the 710 chip for the southbridge which adds a couple of features. There are options for the AMD790 and the AMD770, but they are hard to find in mATX. I like CoolerMaster cases, I just built using a centurion 541, which is just about the same price as your pick. |

Why are you using a micro ATX motherboard when you are using a full size case and a video card?
