VGA not detected ... help?

Well I assembled my computer today, assuming I have done it correctly as it's been 10 years since I helped a friend build his. I have tried removing and replacing the video card, still getting the VGA Not Detected screen. There are no beeps when I boot up. All the fans run, and look like everything else is also.

This is my previous thread Finally, going to build a PC! , towards the bottom of the thread are the listed components I went with.

Suggestions ?

I'm trying to follow the step by step guide, have everything assembled outside the case, but where is the power pin/switch that gets shorted with the screwdriver? The manual does not say. This is the asus m4a79xtd evo motherboard.

Never-mind, figured it out. Still have the same issue... fantastic. No way to swap out parts an see what the problem is too. I've tried moving the video card between slots and switching RAM, perhaps the problem is the processor because even letting it run for 10 minutes, it's ice cold.

A cold processor means the motherboard is not fully starting. Are you sure you have all required power supply connectors hooked up?

I thought I did, but two people on tomshardware said the same thing as you. I must have done something wrong. I'm at work now but will post pictures tomrrow.

The motherboard has a 24 pin main connector and a 4 pin ATX by the CPU socket. The video card has two PCI-E 6 pin connectors. They all have to be connected.

And they are all connected. I have the 24 pin connector in the board, the 4 pin coming from the processor in the 4 socket near it's slot for the board, and the two pci-e 6pins connected to the vido card. That I know I did correctly.

Update: Problem fixed, left out the 4pin CPU cable after doing research on the mobo. Dumb me.

Thank you all for the help, very very much.
