►First build budget around 800$ █ Senior project █

Hey guys I'm looking to get the most out anything around 800$
I'm looking for like the best performance and also towards gaming. If you got anything in mind or you can help me out please do!

I'm also using this for my Senior Project so it would be awsome if anyone would want to help me out with it. I'm in need of a Mentor, A mentor is just someone that can help me out and explain stuff to me. Lol honestly, it's just someone that anwsers a few questions and can help me out and stuff.

Is that $800 for a complete rig: tower/monitor/OS/keyboard,mouse? If so, your budget will probably be tight. I'm guessing your not in the US, if so, your bang for the buck could be even less.
But, for the $800, we can get you into a decent middle of the road machine that will game, probably not on high settings.

800$ is just for Tower
and i do live in the US im in Florida.

$800 could be a bit tight if you want a higher end gaming video card. You would have to moderate your expectations somewhat and accept a lower end card. How long do you have before you have to buy the components?

Nope, you can get a good build for that ( You've got the OS disk?).

Just decide AMD or Intel and we'll get you a list based on that.

I built an Awsome gaming build for $800 and I bought the OS disk, it runs every game out maxxed right now

Well from what iv heard iv been leaning towards AMD. I also already have a modded OS disk that i would like to use. OS disk isn't much of a problem for me.

And i do have till January to buy everything, so not really a rush for me.

Im really here open to any suggestions and i really need them explained if any ^_^
because i decided to use this for my senior project also and i need to write this 4 page research on everything and why.


Honestly i plan on compare the price and performance of me making a computer to fit my needs and the price of premade market one and give out all the information explaining everything.

Then wait till January for getting specific recommendations. Things will be considerably different by then.

You can start "specing out" possible builds now but prices will be different enough by January that you should do your buying then.

Keep an eye on the AMD Athlon II X4 620, it's a 2.6 GHz quad core that presently goes for $99.

The video card situation in particular will be considerably different by then. We are in the process right now of the new generation card rollout.

Whoa!
Video card prices drop and after the Nov.-Dec. buying spree is a great time to go shopping but don't "assume".

Your computer plans are good, now just wait and check reviews, you're going to create and destroy several plans just don't "fixate" on any.

I have a question about the power supply, im not sure how to determine which one i should get or even whats best.

The main difference in video cards is going to be the wider availability and choices in the latest generation cards. Right now, the selection of the Radeon 5000 series cards is very limited.

There are only 4 versions out so far, and the selection is pretty slim at most vendors - a lot of them are on backorder. Compare this to the 4000 series - there are 9 versions.

I recommend you wait till January to lock in your exact component choices.
