Possible to build a Mac rig?

I want to build my very first rig, and I wanted to know if I could build it with components that can run Mac OS X or any future OS's.

I understand that Macs use the Intel processors, but is that the only thing I would need that is OS X exclusive?

The monitor, keyboard and mouse can wait until I've built if possible. I'm just wondering what would be a good list of parts that I could use to accomplish this.

My budget is ~$1000. I can go a bit higher if needed.

I'm afraid we can't help you on this, because it's against Apple's licensing terms to install OSX on anything but a Mac - and we have strict forum rules about getting around this. Thank you for understanding.

Hint - search the web for "hackintosh". If you would like help specing out a PC to run Windows or any other legal OS, please feel free to start a new thread.
