Intel Board Recomendation

Hello all. I am looking to build a new computer for the house. I want to be able to play games on it and hopefully be upgradeable over the next couple years.

Do you have any MOBO, CPU and Ram recomendations for an Intel setup?

I will build the rest of the system around this setup.

Thanks

I am bugeting $1500 for the whole system.

I have been out of the loop on hardware for a couple of years so I know nothing about the I5 or I7's.

Does that $1500 include any peripherals and/or operating system, or is that just for the tower and its contents?

Sorry, I should have included more information.

The $1,500 would be for the tower and everything inside. I already have a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

If I can do better than $1,500 that would be even better. I want a machine that I do some gaming ( command and conquer mostly ) on and be upgradeable for a couple of years if need be.

I am looing for
Case - maybe I have two here already that will probably work. They would need a new PS.
PS
MOBO- preferabley one with good on board sound as well
CPU and Heat Sink
Graphics card
DVD/CD Player/writer
HD

That is pretty much it. If I don't need to spend the $1,500 I would be happier since I just had to by a new Asus Laptop.

Sorry for not elaborating in the oringinal post. Been a while soince I have been here.

Thanks.
