Yes, I think I'd go for an i7 build with that budget. I'd also use one high end video card.
Look at the i7-860 on an Asus P7P55D. Don't use any IDE devices, and use a fast SATA drive (think WD Caviar Black) instead of a SCSI/SAS. |
