New to the PC Building Scene (1st time)

Budget: $500

I am aiming to build a Desktop PC mainly for some gaming, like Left 4 Dead or Fallout 3. Video Editing in Sony Vegas Pro 9 and for school work as well.

I have picked some parts through TigerDirect, and I have a friend who will help me build my PC. Please review these part choices and tell me if everything is compatible. Also can you rate this build on a scale from 1 to 10 based on how fast it is FOR A DUAL CORE Desktop. Thank you in advance

Looks like your missing an O.S.

I suggest Windows 7 64 bit or 32 bit depending on your system

If you hadn't, you need to buy SATA cables for that hard drive because its only the hard drive without cables.

Overall this system is pretty good, but the case is a little fancy.( but thats just my opinion)

I already included the SATA cables in my TigerDirect shopping cart. Yeah I really like the case

I've never heard of Power Up power supplies. I wouldn't trust it. You don't want to go cheap with a power supply.

I wouldn't order anything from Tiger Direct, they are horrible and send a lot of bad parts... or that was my experience. I would stick with #1 Newegg, Mwave, or Directron.

The reason I am ordering from Tiger Direct is because it is coming out to be more expensive on Newegg. I am being charged for tax on Newegg and Tiger Direct has free shipping.

The motherboard comes with SATA cables. That power supply is total trash. A quality 550 watt PSU is going to be AT LEAST 75 bucks.

How will I be sure that this PSU has enough connections for all the equipment I am putting in. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am new to this.

Take ALL reviews with a grain of salt. The brand you chose is a known low quality brand.

The BFG has plenty of connectors.
