No 6 Pin Connections on Graphics Card
I am at the end of my build and during power up I get a no vga detected signal of 1 prolonged beep followed by 3 short beeps. The graphics card is an MSI 4850 and the Mobo is an Asus P7P55D. I have removed the the gc and reseated it. The card has no power connections. I see the 2 PXIEX1 slots on the MOBO but my 2 6 pin PCI-E cords from the power supply do not fit. I have the 15 pin monitor cord plugged to the graphics card with an adapter that came with the MOBO.

Do you have the 24pin and the 8pin connectors from the PSU to the motherboard plugged in? There is a cap on 4 pins of the 8pin connector, remove it and plug in the 8 pin(it will be in a 4x4 configuration).

Insert the card in the PCI-Ex16 slot closest to the CPU socket. Do *NOT* plug any power cables into the PCI-Ex1 slots!
Your card does have a 6 pin power connector - looking at it from the front, looking at the fan, it's in the upper right corner. That is what one of your PCI-E power cables plugs into. |

Ok, I am up and running. I cannot believe that I did not see the 6 pin connection on the graphics card. Thanks
