1. I recommend an Asus P7P55D motherboard. Saves you $60 and it's a better board.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131404

2. I recommend a WD Black hard drive. A 750gb is $80.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136283

3. Don't use ECC server ram, get a 2x2gb kit of standard DDR3-1333 or DDR3-1600 ram. Worth the extra 30 bucks and you get twice the ram.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145260

4. You don't really need a second optical - the burner can read and write anything.

5. Buy OEM Windows, not full retail. Saves you $80.

Threads merged, please do not start new threads for the same build. Thank you.

I don't recommend either one of those components. If you are trying to save money on a power supply, get this Antec:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371015

XFX is not a recommended brand due to quality and customer service issues. If you are trying to save money but still get a 5000 series, get an Asus or HIS.

You can find them at Newegg the same way you have been finding everything else. Go to desktop video cards. Use the advanced search, and choose Radeon 5000 Series under the GPU category. Then sort by price and you will find them. Newegg's search engine is excellent and very easy to use.

If you are willing to pay the price, I'd get a modular Corsair power supply, probably a 650HX.

ASUS motherboards have a program called PC Probe which lets you monitor temps, fan speeds and voltages inside of the OS, you can also use Speedfan to monitor temps, but I prefer to use PC Probe when working with ASUS motherboards as I find the interface to be less cluttered and easier to understand than Speedfan's (Speedfan occasionally doesn't like to work properly on some of the computers I work on).

I'd rather see you stick with a Black - the 640gb and 1tb are still in stock. I prefer to use the Greens only as data drives, not OS/software drives. They are low power drives, and can be a bit laggy trying to get programs to open up.

Another vote for PC Probe - that's all I use to monitor things. It will set off an alarm if anything exceeds the set threshold.
