Updated Gaming Build

Hey guys,

As some of you may recall, I was here over a month ago asking about building a new computer. Well, some things have been discontinued or are out of stock, so I have a few more questions. This should be a relatively easy thread, I'm not really asking for any new parts as much as I am a confirmation that my current build will work for gaming and such. So without further hesitation, how does this look?

Lite-On Black 24x DVD Burner
XCLIO Wind Tunnel ATX Full Tower Case
Western Digital Caviar Black 750GB HDD
LG W2242T-BF 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor
AZiO AWD102N IEEE 802.11b/g, IEEE 802.11n PCI Wireless Adapter
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 Graphics Card - the Powercolor Radeon HD 4870 was deactivated, thinking this is a suitable replacement.
Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W Continuous Power PSU

ALTEC LANSING VS2620 5 Watts RMS 2.0 Computer Speakers
CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz Dual Core Processor
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Everything still check out?

At this point in time, I'd seriously consider an i5-750 or i7-860. Best motherboard would be an Asus P7P55D, and you will need a pair of DDR3-1333 or DDR3-1600 ram.

1. Make sure that ram is on the Asus QVL for the motherboard.
2. If you need a large case, look at the Coolermaster RC690. Not trying to steer you away from Antec, but this is an extremely well made and cooled case.

Looking at the QVL, I could not find the previous RAM I had looked at. So, I changed it to G.SKILL F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK DDR3 1333 4 (2x2) GB. This IS on the QVL, but it has (XMP) following the model number. Will this be ok?

Also, I'm trying to make it as cheap as possible, so I'd prefer keeping the current case (Antec 300) if at all possible. From the research I've done, it seems like it will fit the Radeon HD 4890. I also do not like the location of the power/reset buttons on the RC690. This computer will be under my desk to the right of me, and the power/reset buttons are on the right side.

[UPDATE: We have a winner. Here's an excerpt from a review of the Sapphire HD 4890 taken from Amazon.com:

If you know anything about video cards, then you'll realize that this may actually be a bit shorter than you expect. It was actually the same length as my generation older 3870, and you will have absolutely no problem getting it in a mid-tower case. Mine is in an Antec 300 mid-tower.

I think I may have a final build on my hands here. ]
