I have a dell xps. Does not load up?

I have a dell xps. And It is not wanting to load up. The Hd light comes on and there usaually that come up on the front of the tower. 1-4. It was running fine one moring. Then that night i go to turn it on. The numbers 3 & 4 stay lit. Then after about 30 sec. the hd light stops as in it stops blinking. The fans are running, and when i open the side of the case, when i get by the hd, i can hear it spinning. If you have any ideas, what i can do. Please let me know. And i do have windows xp proffesional.

Go to support.dell.com and download the maintenance manual for that computer. There will be a chart that will tell you what each of the number lights mean.
