need help for new build..
im going to build a pc, and i need some help with the hardware setup.
since this is my first time building a pc i dont know which components to choose. The pc is going to be used as movieediting pc, im going to use some 3D programs, and some motion programs.. I already found a setup, but i dont know if its good or not, so help med out guys =) Antec P183 Advanced Super Midi Tower 1x 120mm top fan, 1x 120mm rear fan, 2x USB 2.0, 1x eSATA, Audio Corsair VX 550W PSU ATX 12V V2.2, 80 Plus, Standard, 1x 6pin, 1x 6+2-pin PCIe, 6x SATA, 120mm Fan Intel Core™ i7 920 Quad Processor 8MB, Boxed ASUS P6T SE, X58, Socket-1366 DDR3, ATX, Firewire, GbLAN, 3xPCI-Ex(2.0)x16 Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 6GB CL9Kit w/3x 2GB XMS3 modules, CL9-9-9-24, for Core i7 XFX Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI-I, HDMI, HDCP, 870MHz Hitachi Deskstar P7K500 500GB SATA 7200RPM, 16MB Cache USB2 Multi Card Reader 3.5" Black for CF I/II,SM,MMC/SD/microSD,MS,xD (bulk) Antistatic Armchain 180cm Black DVD±RW burner if i add 6GB ram, + a Quadro fx 1800? will the Quadro fit in the pc, and work properly? im not going to use more then ca14K ( norwegian kr ) Thanks for helping me out |

I would use a i7-860 and an Asus P7P55D instead. This will take dual channel DDR3 instead of triple channel, you can go with 4gb or 8gb.
If you are not going to be gaming, I'd go with a Quadro or an ATI Fire instead of the 4890, which is primarily a gaming card. I'd also use a Western Digital caviar Black instead of a Hitachi. |
