Next Build

I need some input and advice on my new build. I will be using it for basic web and home computing. Little to no video work. Gaming the latest games, like the new Call Of Duty. I shopped at New Egg and the total is $1156. That's more than I can afford to put into it. So help me get the price down without sacrificing quality. I know nothing about these new processors or boards or GPUs really. I did build the one on my info but that was back in 2001. Next question I have is will my old games work on the new system? Or should I say will any older games work on this new equipment? I don't even know if the parts I've listed are compatable. Could I save some on the board and or the processor?
