Would love to have your guys advice on this!

That's not a bad system for school but its not a gaming rig if your looking for good detailed graphics and frame rates.

You shouldn't have any problems, that card is just an update 9000 series for oem.

Onboad = what is currently in the pc?

Go to Tom's Hardware and compare it to other cards. Its probably a little on the slow side for COD Modern Warfare 2.
