Worth this Upgrade?
Would this be a decent upgrade from my current configuration:
GIGABYTE GA-MA785GMT-UD2H AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Processor Model ADX620WFGIBOX CURRENT CONFIGURATION: ASUS M2N-E motherboard G.Skill 4 gb (2x2g gb) 240-pin ddr2 800 AMD athlon x2 6000+ 3.1 GHZ KEEPING video card the dsame sapphire HD4850 Would I notice a substantial improvement in gaming call of duty modern warfare 2 etc and the like. Would it be worth the 300 bucks? Would I need to swap out my power supply which is a Corsair 550W. (doubt it??) Thanks, Mark |

Video cards are the determining factor as to how fast a game plays. So, your CPU upgrade will probably show little improvement in performance.
