I built my own pc

I built my own pc several years ago with your help. Today, I can't get it to boot up past "entering setup". It won't let me get to the bios setup. It's an Asus A8N-E socket 939 motherboard. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Could it be the hard drive has failed? Thanks.

If you have access to another computer, you can download and burn Ultimate Boot CD. Then just start your computer with UBCD in your CD ROM drive and run diagnostics on the hard drive.

Thanks for the reply, I had Ultimate Boot CD and I put it in the CD drive, but the machine wouldn't boot up. I also pulled the battery with the machine unplugged and reset the bios and no go. I also tried to boot to the motherboard bios CD but nothing.

I think that it is some sort of hardware problem, but don't know what. Any other suggestions?
