New build.
Here are some of the parts I`m considering for my next build. I need some help though on which pieces fit together better. And what might be missing. I don`t need a monitor (have 2),hard drives (plenty), keyboard and mouse.
Thanks for any help. *$259.99 - Intel Core2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad- Core Desktop Processor $189.99 - Intel Core2 Quad Q9400 2.66GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor *$199.99 - Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor $124.99 - GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard *$149.99 - ASUS P7P55D LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard *$129.99 - ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard $134.99 - SAPPHIRE 100284L Radeon HD 5750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card $93.99 - Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT25664AA800 * $94.99 - CORSAIR XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 $149.99 - Antec P183 Black Aluminum / Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case * $89.99 - LIAN LI K60B Black CECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case **$89.99 - COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case |

Go with the i5, P7P55D, and DDR3.
You are missing an optical drive and a power supply. Case is a personal preference. |

Please get an Antec, Corsair, or Seasonic power supply, not a Rosewill.

Whats your preference for how a case looks?
In general, the cheaper the case the more likely you will get cut by sharp edges and the more frustrating little things that there will be about the case. There are some inexpensive exceptions though.

Only thing Xtreme about a Rosewill power supply is how fast it blows up and takes out everything with it.
![]() Seriously though, follow what glc recommended and get a good power supply, that is the most important component in a computer!

Some of the new Rosewills are actually decent, but trying to keep them sorted out can be difficult. It's safer to go with a brand that's quality all the way across the board.
