Those are still some pretty strong parts - why do you want to upgrade?

Note that to go to the latest technology, you will also have to replace your ram. Any motherboard and CPU upgrade that can reuse your ram is not worth the expense or hassle.

Also, what exact model is your motherboard? It may be quad core compatible, and it will definitely accept a video card upgrade.

the motherboard is a gigabyte GA-P35-S3L i think it can run a quad and better ram. not sure which quad to get and ram for the value.as for gpu i do want to switch from ati over to nvidia again cause i'm tired of playing games with the unreal engine or poor ati support with either no aa or a load of trouble to enable aa.

anyway's if you guy's could give me some suggestions on a quad cpu,ram and gpu that would be great and i can place the order

i appreciate the help.

I would not change the ram, it's not worth it. If you have a 2x2 kit now and want to upgrade to 8gb, just buy another matching pair. Replacing won't do squat for you, the FSB on the quad linked below is the same as your E6750.

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115041 (requires bios F8 or later)

With this in mind, determine your video card budget and go here to find the Nvidia in that range:
