Is my motherboard faulty?
I recently began building my own computer, here is the parts list:
motherboard: Intel dp55wb http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...874&CatId=4720 CPU: Intel Core i5 660 Processor http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...0&Sku=I69-0660 GPU: Diamond Radeon HD 5850 Video Card http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...081&CatId=3669 PSU: Ultra X4 750-Watt Modular Power Supply http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...tra%20x4%20750 RAM: Patriot Viper II PGV34G1600ELK 4096MB PC12800 DDR3 Dual Channel http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...472&CatId=3361 I pulled the disc tray and HDD from my old PC. I put all of this together while standing on a concrete floor after discharging any static so im sure I didnt mess anything up because of static. I also am 100% sure i didnt touch the CPU and mess that up. So my problem is i plug the computer and mouse/keyboard/moniter...ect and the light on the power button comes on. i push the power button and the cpu fan starts running and thats it. My keyboard and mouse wont light up, none of the fans on the case start up, and nothing appears on the moniter. I'm pretty sure its not the GPU because if it was just that then the mouse WOULD light up right? i tried everything reccomended by Intel and nothing worked. Is this a faulty motherboard? any help is extremely appreciated!
