New Build Components

Hello everyone! I'm new here and I'm planing on building my own PC. I've never done this before so I have a few questions about the whole process and I guess this is the right place to seek help.

First I just want to ask are these components compatible?

Motherboard: ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO

CPU: PHENOM II X4 965

Video Card: ASUS EAH5770 CUCORE/2DI/1GD5

HDD: 750GB SEAGATE SATA2/7200/32MB

RAM: 2GB DDR2 800 KINGSTON x2

Optical: ASUS DRW-22B2ST/SATA/BLACK

Case: FOXCONN 3GTLA-570A 420W PFC

Yes those parts are compatible, the motherboard is an excellent choice so is the CPU, Memory and Video card however I am not sure about that Foxconn Power Supply inside that case. If it is a Delta Power Supply then you are good to go quality wise but I think you need more power to run that 5770 video card.

Yeah, now that I look at the requirements for the 5770 it needs "450 Watt or greater power supply with one 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors...". And the PSU in the FOXCONN case is 420W.

So I'm looking at another PSU that I can afford:

FORTRON FSP450-60APN/450W
• 450W
• 120 mm fan
• Active PFC Function
• ATX rev. 2.3
20+4PIN MB connector
• SATA connector

Will this PSU do the job or the connectors don't meet the requirements and I have to look for another one? Any recommendations?

No good, that one doesn't have a 6 pin PCI-E connector and it only has one SATA connector.
