advice for first time builder
what do you think about this combination

1. The liquid cooler is a waste of money. Use the stock cooler.
2. Get a Western Digital Black instead of the Hitachi. 3. I'd find a better brand power supply - Antec, Corsair, Seasonic. 4. If you want a Nvidia card, I'd get Asus, BFG, or eVGA. 5. You don't need the D-Link card, the motherboard has onboard gigabit Ethernet. 6. Try the onboard Intel HD sound before you buy a sound card. That price sounds a bit high for the combo - price out an Asus P7P55D-E, an i5-750, and standard Corsair ram (not Dominator) separately. You don't need the Pro board. The -E gives you SATA 6.0 and USB 3.0 for the future. |
