The Gateway, because it has a stronger video card.

However, why don't you build your own? Neither of those 2 brands are particularly reliable.

Here's a few options: Total is $932 plus shipping.
DDR3 memory instead of DDR2.
Not sure you'll need the 750W PSU unless you plan to add another video card later.

Personally I went with the ECS P55H-A as I don't plan to overclock, but wanted the option for Crossfire later. It's only $95 after mail in rebate

Threads merged.

The P7P55D-E does not support Crossfire or SLI at all. If you want Crossfire and need to keep the price down, the base P7P55D supports it, you just lose SATA 6.0 and USB 3.0. I personally won't touch ECS motherboards with a 10 foot pole, sorry.

Don't forget to include an OS as well. That will raise the price around $100.

other post corrected re: Crossfire support.
no need to apologize for having a ton of experience building reliable PCs!

I figured it was under $100 and my first build so why not try it. If all else fails I can get an Asus later.

Probably not - but by the time you want stronger video, you might as well just buy one new card and sell the old one, that motherboard does not support Crossfire. You can always upgrade the power supply too.

You can compare prices at other Canadian vendors - the shipping may be costly from Newegg. I'd recommend NCIX. Tiger Direct is an option, but I don't care for their quality.

Nice case, lousy power supply. Antec is one of the VERY few case manufacturers that include quality power supplies.
