4 suggestions so far:
1. Rosewill power supplies are not recommended. We recommend you stick with Antec, Corsair, or Seasonic. 2. If you are using that processor - and I assume a video card - I'd recommend a P55 chipset instead of H55. That would be one of the P7P55 series boards. The H55 onboard video is not suitable for gaming. 3. Seagate has been having quality issues, we are recommending Western Digital Black series hard drives. 4. I'd try the stock heatsink first. If it's not adequate, the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus seems to be the best cooler for the money for a socket 1156. You should be set with a video card and a DVD burner. Then all you need is peripherals and an operating system. |

You can save 50 bucks with the P7P55D-E (non-Pro).
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131620 This 5770 will destroy that GTS250: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814103086 It also supports DirectX 11. |

It's no better than the one you originally picked. Is there a particular reason why you are fixated on Nvidia cards?

Yes, the ATI 5770 is rated higher than the Nvidia GTS250. It should, it does cost more.

If you enjoy games like COD and newer games like it you will need a 256 bit Video card to get the eye candy and better frame rates.
From what you told us about how you will use your computer you do not need a Quad Core i5-750 instead I recommend you focus your money on a better video card! You have the choice of saving $80 on the processor by getting i3-530 and put the money into an ATI 5830 instead. Buying an expensive CPU and limiting your budget on a video card when you are trying to build a gaming rig makes no sense!

I'm not too keen on H55 boards, Seagate hard drives, or OCZ power supplies. You could do a lot worse though. I especially wouldn't get a H55 if you are going to use a video card.
