Recommend a Western Digital Black instead of a Seagate.

Are you going to overclock? If so your probably gonna want a ATX board not mATX

Overclock refers to pushing the cpu beyond its specs, which could cause damage.
It's not recommended for first time builders.

It will all work, but you don't need 1066 speed ram. 800 speed is the best match, and no need to get expensive ram.
You picked a Blue, not a Black. |

Only thing I'd quibble about is your brand choices on the DVD drive and the video card. I prefer LG, Lite-On, Asus, or Sony opticals, and Asus, Diamond, or HIS for ATI video cards. Cases are personal preference.

? do you mean 32 or 64?
I'd go for 64 bit - mainly for memory handling and max RAM. To install, just stick the CD in - and choose boot to CD from the boot menu. Your BIOS may be set to boot to CD before the SATA drive but incase it's not, the BIOS should have an option for the boot menu. Once you've booted to CD the Install will proceed. Once you've installed Windows 7, you can then install the drivers for the Motherboard (which should include the sound, network and chipset drivers) and then install the add on video card drivers. I typically start with the CD version (in case I don't have connectivity) then download the latest versions from the manufacturer websites and install those. |

Install Windows 7 by booting with the DVD. I doubt the DVD that the motherboard comes with has Windows 7 drivers, so you will need to download needed drivers from the Asus support site beforehand and put them on a USB flash drive.

Here is the link for your motherboard.
http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=c19zNYHCAXhCqBPq Click on Downloads and choose the right OS. You'll need: Chipset LAN Audio at a minimum. You probably won't need the Intel Storage Matrix unless you're using AHCI instead of IDE for your SATA drives. BIOS updates and other utilities as needed. |

Once Windows is fully installed, then you install the drivers.
