First Computer Build, Compatible?

I am building my first computer and came across this forum, so I am posting my findings in hopes that someone will be able to help me a little bit and not only tell me what they think of the build, but if its all compatible as well, I read the "A Guide to Designing a Computer Build" and I feel much more confident they are all going to work together, but would still like an opinion or two before I order these parts. Also, as one more question, does anyone think I would need to purchase fans/liquid cooling? Would there even be enough room in that tower for liquid cooling? Thanks again.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103846 (alternate?) I saw this processor, and its ability to unlock the 2 cores, for just $20 bucks more. I also hear real great things about the Phenom II > the Athlon II. I think it'd be a better investment for the money, so if you know anything about them, let me know your opinion also please.

POWER SUPPLY + CASE
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.365794
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811128056 (alternate?) Great Great deal, I am just unsure if the 500 Watts would be enough to power the other hardware, so again any help would be wonderful.

I definatly perfer the cheaper case/PSU but understand if the 500W won't power it all, I would not mind going for the more expensive of the two. Thanks again for the help, I greatly appreciate it.

If you live near a Fry's store they have this great deal going on:

http://www.frys-electronics-ads.com/...iet-Mini-Tower

$99.99 -$20 rebate = $79.99 for a very highly regarded case and power supply.

Better jump on it, though. Their sales normally end Thursday night, and a new sale will start Friday.

Yes a 500 watt power supply is enough but we don't recommend Rosewill, they've been too uneven quality-wise, and no $39.00 case/psu combo deserves to be taken seriously.
For your intended rig consider this Antec case/psu : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129024

With the motherboard you've selected, go back and read the specs.

If the Antec Sonata III is a good deal from Newegg at $115, it's a great deal from Fry's at $80 (plus tax).

You need DDR3 ram, and I don't recommend an AV drive for a primary hard drive, get a WD Black.

what do you think about that for a hard drive instead then? not too much more $$ but it is still above 500gb, which is my goal.

I like that tower, and its price. I am going to order that tonight, to get that promo code from newegg for $15 off. I appreciate that advise. I wish I lived near a frys, lol that would be a wonderful price/value.

I think this is the RAM I want to go with, because I have a wal-mart credit card, and that saves money onhand, while allowing myself to build credit at the same time. . Would it be compatible with the motherboard? I must have overlooked that DDR3 O_o. haha. I appreciate the help everyone, this is exactly the input I was hoping for.

If you are going to be gaming, I'd suggest you try to budget a bit more for a video card. As an aside, our recommended brands for ATI cards are Asus, Diamond, and HIS.

I am actually already $77 over my budget. haha. I am a young parent, and the only one working between me, my wife, and my baby boy, so my budget is very tight. I figure that video card will be good enough to run HL2, which is the most graphic intensive game I am planning on playing for a long time. If you can find a much better video card for just $20-$40 more I will talk to my wife about getting it, and I would appreciate that, as I want to eventually upgrade my game arsenel.

Here is what I would change:
Get the AMD Athlon II X2 245 Regor 2.9GHz
As you will see no benefit from the Calisto over the Regor for gaming and most applications.
The ASUS M4A77TD AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS EAH5750 FORMULA/2DI/1GD5/A Radeon HD 5750 1GB
You can use your Walmart Visa to buy this G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
Now you are within the $40 you were talking about earlier and I am sure your wife will want you to have a good rig, I am afraid the gaming performance on the 5570 is very limited and XFX are garbage at best.
Good Luck!

That, my friend, sounds like the best idea I have heard this side of the moon. I appreciate the time you took to find these parts, and they all definatly look compatible with one another. I think I will begin ordering these parts today, as it would appear I may have a lot better computer than I expected. I appreciate greatly everyone input and help on this, and I will let you all know how it goes, when the parts arrive and I put 'er together. Thanks again. )
