and I did....

Just built my newest PC...

this has been a long 2-3 month build....but here it is...

CPU: Intel i7-860

Heatsink: Noctua NH-D14

MB: ECS Black Edition P55H

Ram: Geil Black Dragon ddr3-1666 7-7-7-24

HD: WD640 AALS Black 32m Cache

PSU: Corsair TX-850 watt

Video: Sapphire 4850X2-2gb x2 (Quadfire)

Case: Sigma Zen Zen (modded to fit cards)

Windows 7 x64 loaded and ATI cats 10.4 crossfire enabled....no tweaks yet...


at stock and at 3045mhz....enjoy

When you check with software like Real temp or core temp, what are your temperatures at with that cooler?

that looks like zalman 9700.

@ idle; high 30's and low 40's

@load; mid to high 40's and just maybe very low 50's. (All temps in Celsius).

sits idle at 24c

the 9700 on the Q6700 at 3ghz sits at 26c idle...

good airflow goes a long ways...hard part is keeping it silent...I wont stand to hear any fans...
