New i5 build questions

Greetings, I have questions about the intel desktop board dp55kg quick reference step 18, 19, and 20.

Step 18
What do you do/? What is a Chassis Intrusion? Do you flip a switch?

Step 19
It looks like you ground something to the green "board" on the mobo. Is that correct? If so, what do you connect?

Step 20
BIOS Configuration Jumper Block
I'm not sure what the instructions are telling me to do.

I tried skipping these steps and booting up but the computer starts, I get no signal from the monitor. Then after a couple of codes flashing (4F, 27, 60) the computer shuts down then restarts. After a while it just rests on 4F.

Any assistance is much appreciated.

I've taken everything out and "bench tested" the system. It still does the same sequence described above. Because I ordered the CPU and mobo from bestbuy, I don't think that I'll have a problem exchanging them, but before I do that I'm wondering if anyone knows what these steps shown in the instructions are. I'm sure they're important.

Which exact processor do you have?

I do not believe you have to do anything with those 3 steps. Without a link to these instructions, I can't verify that.

Intel DP55KG board

i5 661 processor

After the rebuild, I now get status codes 31 and 26 from the mobo. I wonder if this is the correct RAM (PC3-12800).

What brand and model of the memory? 12800 is not specific enough.

First I tried

Corsair 1600 MHz 4GB

then I switched to

PNY DDR 3 PCS-10666. 1333 MHz compatible

I'm now getting codes that say I need to update the BIOS with an external computer. Has anyone had this happen before?

Bios 4905 is required to support that processor. The board probably shipped with an older bios.
