My PC Will not sleep or hibernate for anything. I've checked my bios settings, I've called Asus and they replaced my motherboard, and so on. Any ideas?

What operating system? What background software is running? What happens when you manually try to sleep it or hibernate it?

W7 64 bit (it still had this problem when I had vista 32 bit)

The only thing i allow to start up is Microsoft security essentials.

When I try ti go into hibernate or sleep, the computer shuts off, immediately beeps, and then turns back on.

I have just discovered what the problem was. I thought for a moment that maybe my keyboard or mouse was somehow the problem. They are wireless. I unplugged my USB and my computer successfully went into sleep mode. But I don't understand why it wont do it plugged in. Nothing is moving when I put it into sleep mode....

Dig around the bios for wake events - it may be set to wake on anything USB or something.

Yeah, its actually off. The wireless receiver has a ps2 and a usb plug in. Even if the usb is out and the ps2 is in, it will still beep and come back on. Very weird.....

What is the model of the wireless devices?
Have you tried updating drivers for it? (if there are any for it)

Drivers won't have anything to do with this - it's something happening at the bios level.

Why don't you just either leave it running, or turn it off when you aren't using it?
