No Beeps
Spec is:
Xigmatek Utgard case I5-750 4GB DDR3 1600 Asus P7H55-M Mobo Sapphire HD 5850 gfx card Antec 650w PSU Samsung 1TB HDD Samsung 24in Monitor I hooked everything up and switched it on, it all powered up but there were no beeps and no display. I tried different monitors and cables and still no display. After lots of head scratching (it has been a few years since i last built a PC) i realised there was no cable to connect the case to the speaker setting on the mobo (the same area where you connect the power switch etc) Is this cable necessary? If so is that also the cause of the no display as well? |

That cable is necessary to hear the POST on startup, without it you'll never hear anything.

It depends whether the mobo has a builtin speaker or not. If it has one, you don't need the cable. If not, you have to connect a speaker to the header.
The link I posted is the troubleshooting procedure for a computer that doesn't start, which is your real issue. Whether you hear beeps or not is not that necessary. |

I did read through that.
CPU fan starts, case fans start, gfx card fan starts.....but no display, any suggestions as to which is the most likely faulty component? No idea if it has a built in speaker or not, hope so as there is no cable to connect to the header |

Did you remove the motherboard from the case?
