New builder anything help welcomed

Well, seeing as this is my first post, I've never built a computer before, unfortunately, I'm an unemployed electrician and I'm currently bored out of my mind, so I figured I'd save some money and build a desktop, as my laptop is simply not doing the job anymore.

My budget is slightly ranging and I've already ordered quite a few things, including my case, mobo, processor, heatsink and fan, and power supply.

I'm more a less looking for opinions, and really wanting to be positive this thing is going to all work together correctly. So, on to what I've got.

Antec 300 case "Illusion R"
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129066

I bought this case because it was a decent price, plenty of fans for cooling, and good reviews for the most part.

Power Supply: Rosewill Green Series RG530-S12 530W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817182199

I'm under the impression that this power supply should suffice for what I am building, I hope I am correct.

Motherboard: ASUS M4A785-M
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131595

With its integrated graphics, although I've heard they aren't amazing, I'm assuming I can later put in a ATI Radeon that's a bit better, such as a 5000 series? I haven't played a game on a PC in years, but I do plan on playing some games, which ones, I'm not sure. For the price, I figured it couldn't be bad.

Processor: AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103818

For the price, again, I figured I could do much worse, and I also am hoping that this will be a good, long term processor for myself.

CPU Cooler: Scythe SCKTN-3000
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185096

Slightly overkill? I'm not sure, it probably is, but I have no clue what I may decide to do 6 months down the road, and the way I see it is I may be better off to have some overkill, rather then not enough cooling.

My RAM, Optical, and hard drive I have not decided on yet. I know I need DDR2, I'll probably be looking at 4gigs of 1066 (I believe that is correct) and a 500 gig HD should be more then enough for me, for the time being.

I also have been looking at "Lite-On" products for the Optical.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate (I think 32bit, but I want to say I've got both a 64bit version and 32bit version in the box) already purchased, I bought it about 6 months ago. I also know I have windows Vista 64bit version as well (a fowl up a year and a half ago when purchasing an OS off newegg)

My monitor etc, I am still browsing for, and I'm also researching, but honestly, half of the time I'm not sure what I am looking at. I plan on finishing off the rest of my purchases next week, what I have listed, is what I currently have already.

I'd like to know what the best bang for my buck would be for RAM, HD, Optical, and would like to know if I am correct for thinking later I can install a better video card.

Also, this computer will be hooked up to the internet via wireless, I'm figuring I need a network card of some sort to do this, (noticed after I posted, and saw a thread about it.) Would I be able to install a network card on this mobo?

Any help, opinions, criticism, advice, would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

The Rosewill power supply may be a mistake. It's not a brand we recommend, some of them are okay but others are garbage. Let us know how that particular model holds up, please.

Get a 2x2gb kit of DDR2-800 or 1066, best brands are Corsair, Kingston,Crucial, or A-Data. You do not need high speed premium ram, the standard ram you find will be fine.

We recommend Western Digital Caviar Black hard drives.

SATA optical - Lite-On, LG, Asus, or Sony.

The stock OEM cooler that comes with the CPU is fine.

Yes, you can install a video card at any time.

Get a PCI or PCI-E wireless card that matches your wireless access point/router, unless you are talking about 3G wireless.

For the money, I like Asus monitors.

Thank you for the help, it's greatly appreciated, and I was worried about hearing that about the power supply, I guess if it junks out, then it does and I will simply have to replace it.

The stock cooler for the CPU is not included on that particular package, which is why I ordered the other cooler.

Rather than buy that CPU and aftermarket cooler, why not just get the CPU with stock cooler and save $20?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-847-_-Product

With that $20 savings I'd upgrade to a ATX motherboard

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-398-_-Product

NB you'll need DDR3 RAM for this particular board

According to the UL certification, that PSU is made by:

MAGNELL ASSOCIATE INC, DBA ABS
COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES INC

I don't have any data on ABS quality.

Well, that's a big "damnit" on my par, especially as I have already ordered and its been shipped..

I guess I'll learn from that mistake.

Currently in my home, all I have is the Antec case, and the Power supply. Other items have been shipped, but have not been received yet. I'll definately take some pics, once everything comes in.

Other items ordered so far: CPU, Mobo, and that cooler.

I'm hoping that by next week I'll have the rest ordered and here. (Newegg orders normally take 1 day to process, and maybe 2 days to get here for me.)
